IITH, Renesas ink deal for semiconductor innovation

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) said it has linked collaboration between Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH), and Japan-based Renesas Electronics Corporation, a global supplier of semiconductor solutions, through a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This partnership, facilitated by the IITH Japan desk, will drive innovation and talent development in India’s semiconductor industry.

An official release said that the MoU will focus on research and collaboration in the field of very-large-scale-integration (VLSI), and embedded semiconductor systems. Renesas will support curriculum development, hands-on learning, and outreach programmes at IITH, while IITH engineering students will get opportunity for internship and full-time employment with Renesas.
